Specifications

This section contains the technical specifications for the major features of VS Code GPG.

Overview

Each specification document defines the functional requirements for a core feature of the extension. These specifications use the RFC 2119 keywords (MUST, SHOULD, MAY) to indicate requirement levels.

Requirement Levels

• MUST: This requirement is essential and must be implemented
• SHOULD: This requirement is recommended and should be implemented unless there is a valid reason not to
• MAY: This requirement is optional and may be implemented at the discretion of the developer

Contributing

When proposing changes to existing features or adding new features, please update the relevant specification document to reflect the changes. Specifications should be updated before implementation to ensure clarity of requirements.
